A THOROUGHLY FASHIONABLE PERSPECTIVE

From a young age, Shoshi has always had a keen interest in everything design. From architecture to fashion and even furniture, Shoshi understood that these disciplines were interconnecting worlds, waiting to be explored.
In 1992, as a young mother, Shoshi would occasionally experiment with designing clothes for her firstborn son, as well as creating items or dresses for herself during her spare time. Quickly, friends and acquaintances who saw Shoshi’s designs were interested in knowing more, and the idea of turning her passion into a profession started to take root. Shoshi hired a seamstress and began designing and making garments for clients. Demand grew rapidly, and Shoshi expanded the business to a spacious studio to accommodate their growing clientele. They began offering personalized tailoring services alongside a selection of ready-made dresses and items.
With ever-increasing sales, opening a store became a short-term goal, with Shoshi opening her first store on Rechov Rabbi Akiva in Bnei Brak, the main shopping street for the Haredi community in the city. Over the years, they’ve opened an additional branch in Jerusalem and established an online presence, selling worldwide. As well as crafting a wholesale business, with the brand’s dresses also available in boutiques in London, Manchester, Borough Park, Monsey, and Passaic in New Jersey.

“What sets our brand apart is the high level of craftsmanship, quality materials, and contemporary trends that lead the fashion world, all without compromising on providing modest solutions for the community’s needs,” says Shoshi.
Constantly buzzing with creativity, whether it’s a beautiful building, artwork, articles or sometimes the texture of a fabric, Shoshi finds herself drawing inspiration for her designs from a huge range of sources.
“I believe that design and art require a level of freedom and openness in thinking. I allow things to flow to me and evolve.”
One of the significant challenges Shoshi has faced as a business owner and designer is the desire to create unique pieces, with impeccable finishes, but still at an affordable price.
“Over the years, I have fine-tuned my production process to deliver my designs at the highest level, both in terms of materials and stitching quality. Today, I take pride in owning fabric and sewing factories that produce top-level dresses, competing with high-end brands, and all at a reasonable and accessible price.”
One thing Shoshi is particularly proud of is how her designs don’t compromise modernity for modesty and vice versa.
“Keeping up with fashion trends nowadays is quite easy; everything is accessible with a click of a button on the internet. However, I never give up on travelling twice a year to fashion exhibitions in Paris, participating in panels showcasing new technologies, and exposing myself to everything that’s fresh in the fashion world. This constant learning has helped establish my business as one of the most desirable brands in the religious community for the past 30 years.”

Discussing career highlights, while there have been many, there is one that sticks in Shoshi’s mind.
“A special moment in my fashion designer career was the year we started producing our own fabrics. From that heavenly collection, the sky became the limit. No longer limited to designing with materials available in the market, we embarked on a journey of boundless design and the realization of complete dreams.”
With a successful career in design, Shoshi has clearly put the work in over the years but she does have great advice for women looking to meet their goals.
“Never stop, never lose hope, keep learning, and keep evolving all the time. With perseverance, success will come, but when success arrives, don’t rest; instead, keep renewing, learning, and refreshing constantly. That’s the secret to lasting success.”
